Culottes Part 2: Casual.

Hello! Here's my part two of how to wear a pair of culottes in a more casual/everyday way! I chose to wear those plain black ones that I recently purchased from Zara. They're so comfy and easy to wear and yet so stylish, I kind of live in them ever since I bought them. To dress them down throw on a pair of sandals and a simple top and you're good to go! I also like to wear long necklaces and bold earrings to give a more bohemian vibe to my outfit.

Culottes Part 1: Dressy & Minimal.

Culottes are a huge trend right now, I see them everywhere from bloggers, to celebs, to random girls in the street and although I don't really tend to follow trends I have to confess I fell for this one! When I came across this pair of Zara culottes I knew they had to be mine! They compliment my figure so well and I can wear them in so many different ways! Here I chose to pair them with a simple black top and high heels to make the outfit more formal and minimal. There's a part two of this post coming up really soon where I'll show you how I'd wear my culottes in a more casual/everyday outfit!

Wedding season: What to wear.

So, wedding season is approaching and many of you are probably wondering what should you wear as a guest to that big event. Some of you may want to go more casual and some may want to impress and stand out. Well, either way I got you covered this spring and to make it easier for you I'm happy to share with you the Wedding Guest Style Guide from The Black Tux along with some of my own suggestions and tips for this season! But first things first let's start with the Guide:

And if you still haven't decided yet, here are some more suggestions. Enjoy!

Romantic vibes.

Less is more and the best way to look effortless yet elegant is to put on a flowy romantic dress. Lace, ruffles and sheer details are a huge trend this season! We've seen them on the catwalk multiple times, like in Balenciaga, The Row and Gucci. They are also a great option for a summer beach wedding.

Go casual.

If you want to go more casual, a great option is to wear a jumpsuit. Culotte jumpsuites are everywhere right now! They are a huge trend and you can dress them down by choosing pastel or bright coloured ones, or dress them up by wearing a sleek monochromatic or black and white outfit.

Metallics.

Go bold and stand out from the crowd by wearing a metallic or sequined dress! Sequins are also a huge trend and we 've seen them on Saint Laurent and Sonia Rykiel. They are a great choice and if you want to go more formal you can even dare to wear a metallic maxi slip dress.

Guys:

  • Casual: I think that if a guy wants to go more casual, he should stick to the trusty shirt and slacks combo. He can also wear a polo t-shirt instead of the shirt or add a pop of colour by wearing green, blue or burgundy coloured pants.

  • Formal: The best way to go formal is to go classic. A simple suit or a tuxedo is the way to go. Colourwise I'd suggest to choose classic black or dark blue.

Hope you found this post helpful! Check out The Black Tux to learn more about them!
Till next time! xx

Casual.

I think the post title says it all. Casual. My plaid shirt, my black leggings, a simple tee and my chucks. Sometimes you shouldn't try too hard to impress with your outfit. Comfy can also be stylish:)

Spring vibes.

Hey there! So the weather is getting warmer and I'm so excited for spring! I love spring/summer season because I get to embrace more my bohemian/girly side and that translates to braids or beachy waves, round sunglasses, loose fitting tops and dresses and maybe more colour:) In todays post I chose to wear the same top two different ways. I just couldn't decide between jeans and wide leg trousers so there you have it: Same style, different bottoms:)

Polka dots.

Hello! Long time no see! Todays post is one of my favorites and it totally represents me.. This polka doted blouse screams my style.. It's loose, I can easily dress it up or dress it down and it makes my outfits pop.. Here I chose to dress it more casual  but there might be another  more evening appropriate version coming up soon!

Shades of blue.

Hello! Another possible title for todays post could be "wet hair, don't care" because this is me almost everytime I leave my house.. I'm not one of those girls who cannot go out without make up on.. I rarely wear make up and I always let my hair dry naturally. I think this helped a lot because even though I dye my hair they still grow fast and look healthy.
So, todays outfit is quite casual.. I bought this shirt from Zara last year and I've only worn it 3 or 4 times which is such a pity considering it's such a quality piece, it fits perfectly and you can easily dress it up or down according to the occasion.. As you can probably already tell, Zara is my favorite place to shop,I just love their designs and the quality of their clothes! The necklace I'm wearing is also from Zara and I'm quite impressed because I've had it for three or four years and it's still in perfect condition. It is definately my favorite statement necklace from my collection!
